US Dollar Plunges To 8-day Low Against British Pound

(RTTNews) - The US dollar that closed Thursday's North American session at 1.6496 against the British pound declined to 1.6574 at 2:15 am ET Friday. This set an 8-day low for the US dollar. The next downside target level for the greenback is seen around 1.667.

German Q2 Wholesale Sales Decline Further

(RTTNews) - Friday, Germany's Federal Statistical Office announced that the wholesale turnover in real terms decreased 10.8% year-over-year in the second quarter,currency convertion $0.42

canada currency $1.23 compared to the 7.2% fall in the previous quarter. Nominally, wholesale turnover was down 18.4%.

On a monthly basis, wholesale sales in real terms increased a calendar and seasonally adjusted 2% in June, while wholesale sales rose nominally 1.1%.

For the first six months of the year, wholesale turnover in real terms decreased 9.1% compared to the same period of the previous year.
